Cowichan Bay

For my Sister's 5oth birthday we went on a little golfing holiday to Cowichan Bay. We stayed at the Oceanfront Grand Resort and Marina. Our room was huge and was equipped with a small kitchen and two king sized beds.

We had an excellent dinner in their restaurant on the top floor of the hotel on Saturday night. Apparently they do an excellent brunch as well, we did not try it though. I think a trip back by boat would be a fun way to attend the buffet. They have a wharf right in front, it was completely vacant when we were there.

Unfortunately the Cowichan valley was true to form and it rained most of the day Saturday, consequently my camera did not get used as much as I had hoped.

Our hotel room was on the waterside of the hotel and had a gorgeous view of the bay. I snapped these two photos early Sunday morning, taking advantage of the yellow gold morning light. The effect only lasted for a few minutes, I was lucky to get them.
